About Me

My overall vision is to be able to capture the natural world in the context of a single picture, and to create pictures that create an undefined story that is left to the interpretation of the viewer. My work began by taking pictures with my phone and playing with my dad’s camera. Since then I have developed new techniques to create my own individual style. I hope that while my breadth work purely contains aesthetically pleasing pictures, that my concentration contains works that make a person think of the story behind the picture. I hope that I can tell stories like Joel Sartore does with his Photo Arc. He has tasked himself with documenting every living species in captivity in the hopes of preserving the image of these animals for the next generation. I want to be able to create a memorable impact in my pictures like Sartore hopes to do. One thing that I try to do in many of my pictures is put the main subject of the picture in focus while placing the rest of the picture out of focus as I feel this uniquely highlights to subject. I want to continue taking pictures that provide thought, however one thing I want to do later on is travel the world capturing the natural beauty of the Earth.
